How do I close my account?

To close your account, use the self-service option available оn the Paysafe Business Experience portal.

  1. Log in to your Paysafe Business Experience portal.
  2. Click Profile Settings at the bottom left corner.
  3. Go to the Account tab. Click the Close Account button.

Before you can continue, you’ll be asked to confirm two key tasks:

  • If applicable, return any terminals received through the Equipment Placement Program within 10 days of closure.
  • Ensure all batches are closed to prevent any delays in the closure process.

Next, you’ll be asked to select a reason for closing your account. The system will then run checks and proceed in one of the following ways:

  • If a case is created, our team will review your request and reach out to you with next steps.
  • If a case is not created, you’ll be prompted to enter your password for authentication. If applicable, you’ll also be notified of any Early Termination Fee (ETF) which is charged if you close your account before the end of your contract’s initial Term.

If you request account closure before the 25th of the month, no further charges will apply for the next billing month. However, requests submitted after this date may incur applicable fees on your final statement for that service period.

Once submitted, you’ll no longer be able to process transactions, and your account will move toward closure. Usually, it takes up to 3 business days to process an account closure request.

You will receive an email notification as soon as your account has been closed. The status of your request will also be visible within the Support hub of your Paysafe Business Experience portal.

Even after your account has been closed, you’ll still be able to log into the Paysafe Business Experience portal in view-only mode for a period of 6 months, allowing you to access your account information and retrieve past statements for your records.

An Early Termination Fee may apply if you close your account before the end of your contract’s initial Term.
