Why was I charged a PCI Non-Compliance Fee?

Copied to clipboard

PCI Compliance helps protect cardholder data and reduce the risk of fraud. It is required to ensure your business meets industry security standards when accepting card payments.

A PCI Non-Compliance Fee (also called a PCI Non-Validation Fee) is charged when one or more of the required annual steps to validate your compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) have not been completed by the deadline, including:

  • Your annual Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) was not submitted.
  • The required vulnerability scan was not successfully completed.
  • Your PCI validation expired and was not renewed.
  • Required documentation was not submitted before the renewal deadline.

You can avoid this fee by becoming PCI compliant using your Paysafe Business Experience portal. You can check out the related articles for more details on how to become compliant. Once completed, you will no longer be charged this fee.
