My First Data terminal shows Datawire Error 1007 (VXN Error 52/53). What should I do?

Datawire Error 1007 (also shown as VXN Error 52/53) indicates that your terminal is unable to communicate with the host. This is typically caused by incorrect terminal settings, outdated applications, or network connectivity issues. To fix it, try the following:
- Check the date and time on the main screen and make sure they are correct.
- If they are correct, ensure your have a stable internet connection.
- Restart and reconnect your terminal: power it off, unplug the Ethernet cable for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, then power the terminal on again.
- If the error still appears, try a different Ethernet cable or plug into another port on your router, if available.
