How do I manage batches on my SwipeSimple reader?

To access the current batches on your SwipeSimple reader, follow these steps:

  1. Open the SwipeSimple Mobile app
  2. Navigate to the side menu
  3. Select Current Batch

The Current Batch section provides a comprehensive view of the transactions in your current batch, including:

  • Total transaction amount in the batch
  • Total tip amount in the batch
  • Total refund amount in the batch
  • Your scheduled batch time

This screen will only display the most recent 50 transactions in your current batch. If your current batch contains more than 50 transactions, the total will only reflect the visible transactions in a batch.

How do I manage my batches?

By default, your automatic settlement or auto-close is enabled, ensuring transactions are automatically closed and sent for processing daily at a pre-determined time (usually every 24 hours).

However, if you wish to manually close your batch before the automatic batch time, you can do so from the Current Batch screen. Just tap on Close Batch located at the top right of the screen.

When you tap Close Batch, you will be asked to confirm if you wish to close your batch early. If you decide to close it early, SwipeSimple will attempt to close the batch again at the scheduled batch time. Any additional transactions you make after manually closing the batch will be settled at the automatic batch time.

How do I set or change my Auto-Batch time?  

Follow these steps to adjust the auto-batch time:

  1. Log in to your SwipeSimple account on the SwipeSimple reporting dashboard.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Navigate to the Reports tab.
  4. Adjust the setting for your batch time and save.
