How to troubleshoot printing issues on my Valor terminal?
Receipt printing problems can be caused by physical issues or by the terminal settings.
- If your receipt prints noticeably light, first ensure that the receipt tray is clean and closed appropriately. Dust or improper seating can affect print quality.
- Confirm that the terminal has at least 45% battery life, as low battery can sometimes affect printer performance.
To enable paper receipts on your terminal:
- From the Online Portal, navigate to Device Management
- Locate your specific device using its EPI (Electronic Point of Interaction)
- Select the Vertical ellipsis next to the EPI, and then choose Edit Parameters
- In the receipt section, select Yes on Paper Receipt
- Save these changes
- Finally, perform a Package Download on the terminal (refer to steps in the previous section for Package Download) for the changes to take effect
To reprint the receipt for the last transaction, tap the Favorites Button (star icon), and then select 1. Reprint Receipt.
