How to troubleshoot issues with batching and settling transactions on my Valor terminal?
My Terminal is not batching, or a gift card transaction is stuck
These issues usually relate to transactions not clearing properly. Here’s what you can do:
- Attempt a Clear Reversal (this may require support assistance).
- Try settling any open batches:
- Tap the star (★) icon.
- Select 2. Settlement.
- Enter your password (the default one is the last 4 digits of your EPI).
- Tap OK to confirm.

How do I close a batch using the Online Portal?
- Navigate to Transactions in the Sidebar Menu.
- Locate the most recent transaction associated with the specific EPI.
- Select the Vertical Ellipsis next to the transaction.
- Choose Open Batch.
- Select the Action Button, and then click Close Batch to complete the process.
How do I configure my terminal for Auto-Batch or Manual Batch?
- Navigate to Device Management within the Online Portal.
- Locate your terminal's EPI.
- Select the Vertical Ellipsis next to the EPI, then choose Edit Parameters.
- In the Terminal & Transaction section, toggle Batch Out to Auto and specify the Settlement Time for automatic batching, or toggle Batch Out to Manual for
- manual settlement.
