What is the difference between the Self-Assessment Questionnaire and the network scan?

Copied to clipboard

The Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) must be filled out annually via our third-party provider, Aperia. It’s available from the Paysafe Business Experience portal when you check your PCI Compliance status. When filling out the questionnaire, you’ll be asked to provide certain information related to your business and the business process.

On the other hand, the scan is a quarterly network scan, meant to ensure your network is in compliance with PCI standards.

Who completes the questionnaire and scan?

If you process payments via a POS terminal, you’ll be required to take the questionnaire.

If you process payments online (e.g., via checkout on your website), you’ll be required to complete the network scan instead.
