What is the PCI questionnaire (SAQ)?

The Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), also known as the PCI questionnaire, as a form that must be filled out annually via our third-party provider, Aperia. It’s available from your merchant profile in the Paysafe Business Experience portal when you check your PCI Compliance status. When filling out the questionnaire, you’ll be asked to provide certain information related to your business and your business process.

What is PCI network scan?

A PCI scan is a quarterly network scan, meant to ensure your network is secure and in compliance with PCI standards. Such network scans must be completed every 90 days in accordance with PCI requirements and are conducted by a PCI SSC Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV).

Who completes the questionnaire and scan?

  • Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ): If you process payments using a POS terminal, you will be required to complete the PCI questionnaire.
  • Network Scan: If you process payments online (for example, through a website or hosted checkout), you will need to complete a quarterly network scan.
