Why is my phone number not accepted?

Copied to clipboard

Your business phone number is considered valid, if it meets the following criteria:

  • It should be exactly 10 digits
  • It should not contain letters or unsupported special characters; hyphens are allowed
  • You should not use all identical digits (e.g., 0000000000 or 111-111-1111)
  • It should match one of these formats: 1234567890 or 123-456-7890

If the number doesn’t meet these rules, you may see one of the following error messages:

  • “Phone number must be 10 digits.”
  • “Your phone numbers were not updated. Please try again.”

If you see such a message, check your number, edit it ensuring it meets all requirements, and click Save.
