Can ACH Rejects affect my account status?

If multiple ACH transactions fail due to insufficient funds, closed accounts, or incorrect banking details, your account may be placed on hold, diverted, or even closed.

Furthermore, if your account hasn’t processed any transactions for more than 60 days and carries an outstanding balance, it will be closed. Accounts with a high collections balance may be closed prior to the 60-day threshold.

Such actions aim to protect against financial risk and to ensure compliance with processing standards.

To avoid disruptions, keep your bank information up to date and ensure funds are available for debits.
